I just finished the battle to find, download, and compile GNU Emacs 18.57. Now, I begin the battle to make it useful for me and my site. I run a "generic" 386 machine running SCO Xenix 386 System V R2.3.3. I need some help configuring it to accept keyboard commands. Y'know, arrow keys, PgUp, PgDn, stuff like that. Now, I saw the keyinfo patch that allows the ALT key to be the META key, but isn't it possible to go further than that and make EVERYTHING on the keyboard do what it's suppossed to? If this is an "RTFM" question, please point me to the section of the manual that I need to grok. The main reason I'm bothering with a posting is because I'm sure someone has asked this before. Just point me in the right direction and I'll be fine. ALSO: My subscription to this list hasn't been processed yet, so I'd appreciate it if anyone who's kind enough to help could mail their answer to me directly. Thank you all.
