In article <804@infotec.UUCP> you write: >Has anyone had a similar problem installing emacs 18.55 on a sparc, it compiles and >links but crashes at the c-shell level (none of the x-windows portions are >included) with the above error? > Thanks to all who replied for the answer (I have not been able to get this file yet) : >From an old version of the gnu.emacs.help Frequently Asked Questions >posting: > > >44. Next problem: We are running under SunOS 4.1 I am still having trouble binding macros to the function keys and the keypad keys and have tried the following in my .emacs file: (setq sun-esc-bracket t) (load "...emacs-18.55/lisp/term/sun.el") when I try to assign a key M-x global-set-key the R1 keypad key, for example, is not recognized? I have not installed the X-windows options and do not have the xvetool for openwindows (that is what we are using). Otherwise, most things work, but I really would like to bind macros to keys.
