[comp.emacs] RMAIL..how to send a file?

latto@LUCID.COM (Andy Latto) (05/23/91)

To send a message from emacs, type C-x m, which will give you a buffer named
*mail* into
which you can type your message. The headers should be above the line that says
 --text follows this line--,
and the body of the message should be below it. You can edit both, but should
leave that line unchanged. You can also get into a *mail* buffer by using
the 'r' (reply) or 'f' (forward) command from rmail.

When you are editing a buffer in emacs (including when you are editing
a *mail* buffer prior to sending a message), you can include
any file in the buffer by typing C-x i, followed by the name of the file
to include.

When you have finished editing *mail*, you send the message by typing
C-c C-c.
