We recently upgraded to Domain 10.3 and found that emacs (GNU 18.54) stopped working. We tried recompiling. After recompiling (with no error messages) the dumped file in not executable. temacs works, but xemacs does not. Anyone solved this one yet? -- Phil Windley | windley@cs.uidaho.edu Assistant Professor | windley@cheetah.cs.uidaho.edu Department of Computer Science | University of Idaho | Phone: 208.885.6501 Moscow, ID 83843 | Fax: 208.885.6645

We have a mixture of 10.3 and 10.2 nodes in our network. 10.2 is running on 3500s and 3550s. 10.3 is running on 3550s and 400t's. Our 10.3 nodes have had no problems running GNU Emacs 18.54. We are using the the Leonard N. Zubkoff modifications to GNU Emacs for the Apollo. Perhaps 10.3 was not installed properly. Perhaps needed links were not set up. Since you did not describe the symptoms behind "stopped working" it is difficult to determine what your problems might be. -- ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Kevin Gallagher kgallagh@digi.lonestar.org OR ...!uunet!digi!kgallagh DSC Communications Corporation Addr: MS 152, 1000 Coit Rd, Plano, TX 75075 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------
