I do not think so.  Adb is a very handy tool: sort of the Unix
version of the Swiss Army Knife.  For source code level debugging,
sdb is certainly preferable, but adb can do more.  (Sometimes I
think adb can do anything. :-) )

Actually, it's not as much a loss as you think; the sys5 version of adb
won't work on non-COFF files.  No more patching of data files or damaged
superblocks, etc.  (BOO, HISS!)
