I would like students learning OPS5 to sit in an emacs 2-window set-up, with ops5 in one window, and their source in the other. No problem about this - BUT there doesn't seem to be any way of allowing them to clear out production memory as they load different sets of rules. Does anyone out there know how I could provide this facility - something that worked like remove does for WM? Since the rules are compiled into a rete network, removing individual rules is probably too hard, but a reset facility which got rid of all of them would be really useful. Some implementations of ops5 _do_ have this facility - at least the one by ExperIntelligence running on apple macs does. So can any ops5 wizard tell me how it might be done? Ruth Aylett.
