[comp.ai] GIL, ITS and Cogent Prolog

vincel@fs0.ee.ubc.ca (vincent li) (12/09/89)

We are just starting work on an intelligent tutoring advior system here.
Initially, we are using a production type system and implementing the
thing in prolog, specifically Cogent prolog.
Questions:

1) Our knowledge representation framework is based on work by Brian Reiser et al
at Stanford on GIL, their Lisp tutor. I'd appreciate it if anyone out there can
tell me how I may contact them or be able to obtain some more detail technical
info on GIL?

2) Does anyone have any experience with Cogent Prolog or Cogent's Hyperbase?
I'd like to know what you think about them and general comments.

Thanks.
