The fourth New Zealand Expert Systems conference will be held in Palmerston North Nov 29-30, 1990. The goal of the conference is to bring together people in New Zealand who are working in the area of expert systems or have an interest in expert systems. We are happy to consider papers on any aspect of expert systems, including (but not limited to) descriptions of particular expert systems, application areas, tools for expert systems, knowledge engineering and elicitation techniques, and management of expert system projects. We are especially interested in papers describing practical applications of expert systems in New Zealand, and evaluations of expert systems tools. Authors must submit a title and abstract by 31 May 1990 and two copies of the full paper by 31 July 1990. Each paper will be reviewed by at least two reviewers. The papers must be typed or letter quality computer output. Camera-ready copy of the accepted papers will be due not later than 30 September 1990.
