I once read somewhere the claim that the temporal span of conscious experience was in the area of 15" -- a sort of short-term active memory of self that's quite unlike other types of recall, a deficiency of which is that I can't recall where I came across this idea. Has anyone heard of this claim, or know of its origins? Thanks, --eliot
