I've just finished upgrading 2 ancient Sun Workstations (a 100U and a 150U, one a fileserver for the other) from 1.4 to 2.2 Sun Unix. The server seems to run correctly, but the client fails to boot, claiming that it can't mount its root filesystem and giving the error message "rootmount: can't mount root mount error = 5". However, I can mount the client's root on the server by using "mount /dev/ndl0 /mnt" and verify that it looks fine. Any Sun 1xx gurus out there have an idea what's going on? -- Matt Landau BBN Laboratories, Inc. MLandau@Diamond.BBN.COM 10 Moulton Street (617) 497-2429 Cambridge, MA 02238
