[comp.ai] Metric to evaluate Rule-Based RT Expert System ?

 I am actually working on a Rule Base ES running in Real Time (RT). Because
 of time criticalness involved in the reasonning process, there exists pro-
 bably formal or generally well-accepted (or well-known) approaches to MEASU-
 RE the efficiency of the system. I am looking for references (or people's 
 past experience) on such metrics. Indications in that direction would be
 appreciated. How to make sure or measure the quality of the output of
 the ES in a RT environment. Thank you.
