Hello, I am currently working about multisensor fusion applied to autonomous navigation of airborne vehicles. The problem here is to recognize accuratly an outdoor scene, so as to be able to find it on a symbolic map of the ground. My approach is symbolic sensor fusion (IR and radar sensors): * how to fuse the data of those two sensors to make a good description of the scene? * how to use the a priori knowledge given by the map: we know what kind of objects we want to recognize (houses, roads, plants,...) Are there people working on this who could contact me to give me references or technical reports? I have yet many articles about sensor fusion, but it seems they are about a military subject that cannot be fully developped. So if you know something worth to be noticed.... Many thanks.
