[comp.ai] IEEE Expert

I'd like to draw the attention of the readership of this newsgroup to
IEEE Expert, a bi-monthly magazine whose subject is applied AI. The
magazine has an international circulation of about 18,000. The Magazine's
charter is to report on the cutting edge of AI research to the user
community. In 1991 there will be special tracks -- our version of special
issues, except all the articles don't appear in the same issue: they run
for several issues -- on object-oriented programming in AI, functional
modeling of devices, machine learning applications, AI applications in
process engineering, DARPA Strategic Computing Program research results
in knowledge-based systems, vision, natural language, and autonomous vehicles,
to name a few. In addition, there are product and book reviews, conference
reports (look for one on artificial life in the December, 90, issue),
country reports, and many other departments.

Because of the exposure this Magazine provides, this magazine should
be considered seriously by researchers as a publication avenue for
ideas that have a likelihood of being important for applications.
Please look at any recent issue for instructions for manuscript submission,
or contact thorne-c@cis.ohio-state.edu for Author Guidelines.
