I'm sure this is a subject that has received attention many times so e-mail responses are probably the best way to go here: I'm looking for some good introductory-level sources to fuzzy logic. Specifically, those that gives a good description of concepts and applications. I'm afraid I don't know what else to ask for as this posting is actually for my boss. He has a book that he describes as all multi-variable calculus and with nothing on application, and right now he wants to know more about where he can use it rather than how to implement it. Traditionally, our products have implemented Eproms programmed in Forth. I'm sure any info on how well fuzzy logic lends itself to this type of implementation would be most helpful, considering the dedicated chips optimized for "fuzzy instructions" are beyond affordability. I'll likely be posting more specific requests in the future, but for now, any information on books that provide a general overview on how fuzzy logic is used (with possibly some high-level algorithms), and where these books are available, would be greatly appreciated! thanx in advance!
