Hello everyone, I will be engaged with a project that tries to combine the nice properties of Explanation Based Learning and Model Based Reasoning. The general idea is that Model Based Reasoning is able to generate proofs that can be used to check heuristics that can be used for eg. diagnosis purposes. The proofs can be input to an Explanation Based Learning module that can then generate more efficient heuristics or find inconsistencies. My question is: does anyone know of work being carried out in this area? I already have some references to the work of Michael Pazzani on ACES. I'll be happy to post the responses I get to the net, Thanks in advance.
