WORKSHOP ON THE
APPLICATIONS OF REASON MAINTENANCE SYSTEMS
Research Instituut voor Kennis-Systemen
Maastricht, The Netherlands
24-25th October 1991
Post activity of ECAI-90
The workshop on Reason Maintenance Systems held at the last ECAI
in Stockholm, whilst successful, highlighted the need for the
presentation of more work on the use of RMSs. A great deal of
theoretical work on RMSs has been published over the last few
years but less work on experience with using such systems in
practice. To help redress this balance it was proposed, at the
ECAI RMS meeting, that a workshop dedicated to applications of
RMS be held.
The workshop will be organised to encourage the exchange of ex-
pertise and ideas. A small number of papers (six or seven) will
be presented with plenty of time allowed for discussion. The
number of participants will be strictly limited and attendance
will be by invitation only. Potential participants are requested
to submit an extended abstract (not more than 2000 words) to the
program chair. Invitation to attend or present a completed paper
to the workshop will be based on the abstract submitted. It is
emphasised that the workshop is about the application of RMS and
this will be taken into account in refereeing the submissions.
The workshop will be held on Thursday (24th October) and Friday
(25th October).
