I've heard about a company called "Blackboard Technology Group" which provides tools for creating blackboard based applications. I know the research area has been around for many years but haven't come across much in conventional database books, nor informational articles on expert systems. Could someone refer me to some information on blackboard techniques in general (papers, publications, books etc.) and perhaps on the company in particular? The paradigm seems quite logical and modular and I'd like to pursue it further without reinventing the wheel. Have you created any blackboard applications? Feedback? Best source of information on the subject? Thanks in advance. Ron Schweikert
