The subject is a little misleading since the retraction is because
I'm not an official source for definitive information.
Yesterday I followed up to an article in this newsgroup answering
some questions about the service and offering some opinions. I
also said I would forward the followup to the Stargate principals
which I did. The official reply reminded me that I am not an
official information source and was actually more harmful than
helpful. Accordingly, I retract what I said and will keep my mouth
shut.
My unofficial opinion is that it's still a nifty idea and a worthwhile
service but no one should interpret that as anything other than an
opinion.
