The "view it as evolution in action" aphorism has to be refuted. It is widely believed that so-called "Free Enterprise" and economical competition are scientifically grounded by evolution theory - That there is no good or bad, only success that is manifested by economical revenue. This is false. GOOD exists in the following sense: It is obvious that there are events that are to (almost) NOBODY'S advantage. Typically : accidents, catastrophes, drafts, earthquakes, wars. A political system that tends to use the demands of the prevention of such events as decision criteria is "GOOD" in the sense that it should survive any critics (which will tend to kill themselves).
