I had done a "f"ollowup to a posting of "newsgroups I would like to see" in talk.bizzare (I think it was that newsgroup). The problem I had is that I did not notice I was replying to a cross posted note. Needless to say that it was even posted to some group that cause an automatic routing of the posting back to me via mail. I do not like the idea of cross posting myself. And I guess I will have to pay more attention to the header of the article I am doing a followup to. To many times items are cross posted either on purpose or by accident (like my case) that need not of been cross posted. Maybe someting can be added to the "rn" or "postnews" software so that when you do a "f" or "F" and the aritcle you had posted to was cross posted it will come up and say. Do you really want to cross post your followup? -- ___ ___ ___ Steve Good ...uunet!ccicpg!cci632!ritcsh!steveg |@/o o\@| @/- -\@ @/o o\@ Network Administrator BITNET%"SNGDCO@RITVAXD" | \ o / | / o \ \/-\/ Rochester Institute of Technology (716)475-2702 \ --- / | --- | /---\ "I hear nothing, I see nothing, I say nothing" Shultz
