Dear all, Is there a way to connect together two file descriptors? In my application, I have an array of pipe fd's, and an fd returned from an accept() call. I want to connect the accept'ed fd to a particular pipe fd. In other words, I want a process to start reading from that socket. One hideous way is to spawn a "cat" in the middle of the file descriptors, with attendant close's and dup's, but there must be a better way ...
