Of course, as any (ex, perhaps) rec.humor.funny reader can attest to, the quality of stuff in r.h.f. has been pretty poor lately. It went from being my first newsgroup to being unsubscribed to, after the last 20 or so postings couldn't even get the minimal chuckle, smirk, etc. (although "heard it" was appropriate for several). So, all of this JEDR silliness may be a moot point soon, anyway. Even if B.T. was a blatant racist (and I really don't see how someone comes up with this from the r.h.f. postings), it won't matter any more, because no one will bother to read it. On the other hand, as h/n -> 0, it won't be offensive to some, funny to others--it'll just be offensive to some. Disclaimer: I haven't read it for about a week now, so anything truly offensive that's been posted hasn't made it to my CRT. But it's not worth reading any more un-jokes (anti-jokes, attempts at, ...) to find something controversial.
