This may be old news to everybody else, but.... I just found this in the nationally-syndicated column "News of the Weird" (appearing locally in the April 14 _Austin_Chronicle_): Mario Morby, 12, a cancer patient in remission in Streetly, England, who had amassed a Guinness-book record 2 million postcards of get-well support from around the world, was found suffocated in December after a pile of an estimated 500,000 cards fell over on him. [Regular netnews readers will remember waves and waves of postings about this guy over the past few years.] I don't believe "NotW" appears in the New York Times, but I think they have documented, corroborated pieces. I'll believe the above story until somebody tells me different. Still, it does seem almost too poetic to be true. -- -- Kelvin Thompson, Lone Rider of the Apocalypse kelvin@cs.utexas.edu {...,uunet}!cs.utexas.edu!kelvin
