Hey Bill,

Tell you what. Why not take him out, hang, draw and quarter him and
then perhaps you could even burn him at the stake.

How does that sound to you? No? Too liberal?
Oh, well - nevermind then. I would have used a smiley, but is this
a joke?

There will always be the immature, of whatever age, that think that
purposelessly violating law or custom is funny.

Too bad, but it appears that you are one of them.

Do yourself a favor and list three good reasons why such postings are
harmful. There are actually more than that, but the mere effort on
your part to find just three might do you some good.

No, don't ask me to do it for you. If you can't figure the reasons, it
will take much more than a few words on a screen to teach them to you.
And I'm not in the business of teaching kindergarten ethics.

Conversly, there will always be pompous windbags, of whatever
age, that cannot recogninize humor even if it bit them where they
sit down.

Too bad, but it appears that you are one of them.

But *do* pontificate about the customs and *laws* that were
being broken, since you were going to anyway.

Ok, I'm asking. I just cant figure out why this is so evil and naaasty.

Now I can accept the notion that I am morally bankrupt, but perhaps
I'm not the only one that can't quite figure this out.

I mean, you don't reallt think that people believed Ollie North
started posting to the net from Holland do you ?

Or could it be that you got all torqued because somebody defecated
in your splendid new newsfroup, and you took it all personal like ?

Splendid idea. I did it too.

It may have not occurred to you, but what I found funny was not the article
"purposelessly violating law or custom", but rather your response to it.

I would have thought that even a cursory reading of my article would have
made that eminently clear. Apparently I am incorrect in that assumption.

Judging from your mailing, it is good that you are not in the business of
teaching ethics. Period.
