[news.software.notes] NEW SOFTWARE - -- HANDY MAMAN

c2v@mace.cc.purdue.edu (guentert) (02/06/90)

I have a program, HANDYMAN, I would like to distribute FREE.
It is a RAM resident program, which can be activated any time by
press "Print Screen" and contains a lot of handy and useful
*features besides print screen. This program can be run on any
PC-XT or AT and it's compatibles, and it takes 20K RAM space.
AFTER INSTALLING THIS PROGRAM, YOU CERTAINLY WON'T LOSE YOUR
ORIGINAL PRINT SCREEN, BUT WILL GET A NUMBER OF SMALL YET
CONVENIENT FEATURE. These features are especially useful and
handy when you are connected with a mainframe. Following is a
list of functions:

     1. Print screen content to printer, and write screen content
to a disk file.
     2. Mark any part of the screen, which can be sent to either
the printer or a disk file.
     3. A single disk file can be opened, and information on the
screen can be continuously appended to this file.
     4. A full screen editor, which can be used any time to take
notes or write anything, and can copy any part of screen content
into the notes to save your typing.
     5. A keyboard locker which can lock your keyboard with a
warning message of your choice on the screen while you are away,
and only by typing a password can it be unlocked.
     6. An extended address memo book featuring E-mail addresses,
mainfrain phone numbers, computer account names and passwords, as
well as regular phone numbers and addresses. A password can be
given to protect unauthorized access.

Since this program is activated by hitting the print screen
key, no function key will be affected.

There might be more handy features that can be added.
Therefore I want to distribute this program for free and get some
valuable feedback from user so that I can make it better in the
future before it is distributed commercially. You can simply send
your request to the following address with $2.00 (5 1/2") /
$2.50 (3 1/2") to cover the cost of disk and postage:
