Help! I am having trouble with articles I am mailing to the moderator of mod.computers.vax. According to responses I am getting from other sites, my messages are appearing both on arpa's INFO-VAX mailing list and USENET's newsgroup. However, the USENET articles never get back to my site. I am using the address "info-vax@sri-kl.arpa" for my submissions. My site is UUCP only but I believe that our mailer is set up to send messages with arpa addresses to an arpa site for remailing. When I asked for help on the newsgroup, one person said that the problem was the path string being generated either by our mailer or the arpa remailer (...!ucbvax!ted@cgl.ucsf.edu@blia.UUCP where ted is my user name and blia is my site name). This doesn't seem to be the problem as his posting and several others since have had similar path syntax (user@xxx.arpa@site.UUCP). Also, I know the arpa gateway is working as I can send and receive mail to arpa sites. Anyone on this newsgroup have any ideas on why this is happening? Thanks in advance for any help. =============================================================================== Ted Marshall Britton Lee, Inc. p-mail: 14600 Winchester Blvd, Los Gatos, Ca 95030 voice: (408)378-7000 uucp: ...!ucbvax!mtxinu!blia!ted ARPA: mtxinu!blia!ted@Berkeley.EDU disclaimer: These opinions are my own and may not reflect those of my employer; I leave them alone and they leave me alone. fortune for today: An elephant is a mouse with an operating system.
