I recently wrote an output filter for a special device used by lpr. Nowhere in the documentation could I find that a filter must SIGSTOP itself on receiving a ^Y^A. This quirk took quite a long time to find. So, does anyone know of documentation for the UCB protocols such as rlogin, talk, lpd and so on? (I guess looking at these there are two different things here: net protocols and programming protocols...) I'm running 4.3 on VAXen and microVAXEN and I want to write some custom programs using these protocols.
