We have a couple of mailing lists coming in here from outside. I want to set them up as moderated newsgroups such that articles coming in get posted to the newsgroups and such that any local replies to those articles get posted back to the moderator of the mailing list. I understand how to get incoming articles into a unmoderated newsgroup - I have the articles coming into something like 'foo@cos.com' and in my mail aliases file (/usr/lib/aliases), I have: foo: cos.foo@cos cos.foo: "| /usr/local/lib/news/recnews cos.foo" My ~news/active file looks like: cos.foo 00017 00017 y I know how to make the newsgroup moderated - my ~news/active file would look like: cos.foo 00017 00017 m I know how to get articles posted locally sent back to the moderator - my ~news/mailpaths file would look like: cos-foo foo@some.place.com backbone %s@seismo.css.gov internet %s The question that I have is how to make sure that inews (called by recnews above) actually posts the article and does not send it back to the moderator. I know that there are some switches to inews (-M and -a) for moderated newsgroups, but how do I use them? Does anyone have something similar to recnews to posting to moderated newsgroups? Thanks for any help that anyone can give me, --asp (Andrew Partan @ Corporation for Open Systems) -- asp@cos.com -- {seismo!sundc, decuac, hadron, hqda-ai}!cos!asp -- --asp (Andrew Partan @ Corporation for Open Systems) -- asp@cos.com -- {seismo!sundc, decuac, hadron, hqda-ai}!cos!asp
