comp.doc.techreports has just been flooded with umpteen copies of a
posting from Rutgers. It looks like what has happened is that the news
bug that posts moderators multiple copies of items has gone off, but
the "moderator" of the newsgroup is a brainless program that posts
whatever it gets without human intervention.
If this is true, what on earth is the point of moderating it?
