We are working on getting another USENET site up and have the immediate choice of hosting it on an IBM RT or an Apollo unless we want to wait until funding comes through (if it does). I'd love to hear (via email) of sites that have hosted on either of these and of how much hassles any sites have had compared to a truer Unix. We long ago decided not to host tahoma on our Apollos because we felt their Unix, which runs under Aegis (which they pronounce "Aw, geez!" at tahoma), was far too unstable. Also, there were too many small, deliberate unix incompatibilities. Maybe that has changed but I won't count on it until SR10.0 + 6-12 months. Also, if we put it on such a site and decide to move to another machine in 6-12 months how much of a hassle would that be? I'd love some feedback (via email) from anyone who has done this. Those with vested interests in any of the vendors they mention should identify theirself as such. Thanks!!!
