A few weeks back, the moderator of comp.hypercube proposed changing the name of that group to comp.parallel to better reflect the nature of the group (discussion of hardware and software for massively parallel systems). No objections have been registered in that time, and there was considerable positive feedback on the subject. Soooo, I have created comp.parallel. Please add an entry in your alias file of the form: comp.hypercube comp.parallel and use the new name instead of the old. In a few weeks, when all the postings in comp.hypercube have expired, I'll issue a rmgroup message for the group. -- Gene Spafford Dept. of Computer Sciences, Purdue University, W. The comp.parallel == comp.hypercube has as its charter dealing with parallelism, PERIOD. The original idea of comp.hypercube was to have a group which would deal with implemented systems. There is much interest in all forms of parallelism and it spans many groups. The name change came about from the confusion over [ emotional attachment/disenchangtment with ] the name The comp.parallel/comp.hypercube moderator -- Steve Stevenson fpst@hubcap.clemson.edu (aka D.
