my new company doesn't have a unix machine in the house -- but they
would like to be connected to usenet... we have 4 vax vms systems which
do nothing but test LANs -- i would like to make one of these
into a usenet node... any vms usenet sysadms out there?? if you could

Re: Usenet on VMS

This question comes up about every two weeks - I guess we should fire up
an autoposter so people don't miss it :-)

The VAX SIG VMSnet working group is in the process of preparing a set
of software tools that will allow VMS users direct access to the USEnet.
The package will include UUCP network compatable mail hooks to VMS mail,
Smail for Internet mail routing, and a USEnet news compatable news system.

Stay tuned for more information. Also watch places like comp.os.vms and
the Pageswapper...
