Hello there, There's been a USENET group in charge of site mapping for lord only knows how long. Mapping is a much-needed service on the net, both from the UUC and USENET points of view. But USENET isn't just about SYSTEMS, it's about PEOPLE, too. Therefore, may I recommend that a USENET USer Directory group be set up? Looking at the user/readership stats, I see that the estimated USENET user number would fit comfortably into a middling-sized city. So, the amount of space required for storage of such a directory would not be much more than that of a typical 'phone directory. In fact, it may well be of advantage to print a hard copy some time to distribute at a nominal fee to interested sites.
