I got a good version from ubvax, who got it from ames!mailrus!...; our truncated version came from purdue!mailrus!...; therefore Purdue's version may also be messed up unless it's something we did here. The truncation looks sort of likeQUIT Like that. A "QUIT" in the middle of a doc file. NNTP turds, perhaps? Anyway, I've replaced our version but it's probably already gone out. The version of NNTP distributed with 4.3BSD (1.2a, I think) suffered from this problem. Version 1.3 fixed it, and version 1.5 is the latest stuff (1.4 was never released officially). If you're running anything older than 1.5 NNTP, please fetch the tar files from ucbvax.berkeley.edu [10.2.0.78] with anonymous FTP, and install them - you'll be glad you did. Erik E.
