OK, I admit it, this business is really an experiment gone heywire... I told this "psychologist" in training about how one could test the reaction of the general public towards disturbed persons by "impersonating" one; I bet him that even admitting in articles to be in therapy would not cause people, in general, to react forgivingly or with kindness. Do I need to mention that I won that bet ??!! Sorry, you all have become part of this immense set-up. Your names and quotes from your (in)famous statements are, probably, going to be part of a newspaper-article which will be sold to the NY-Times after the dissertation is finished. Congratulations - you may even be asked for a picture ... PS: courtesy copies will be sent to your mother, sisters, employer ... wife, children .... PSPS: if you ever meet a disturbed person in real life, please be more kind in how you treat him/her than what you have demonstrated in your reactions to Mark. If you can't be kind, then, at least, don't make matters worse... PSPSPS: how can we put a stop to these articles getting cross-posted to news.sysadmin?! -- ------------------------------------------------------------------------ send Email to: werner@rascal.ics.utexas.edu (Internet: 128.83.144.1) .....!cs.utexas.edu!rascal.ics.utexas.edu!werner alternative: werner@astro.as.utexas.edu or werner@utastro.UUCP
