how bout some free advice ?? what do you folks know to be the minimum configuration for a usenet node. i'm interested mainly in the minimum software configuration -- i have the hardware i'll need, except perhaps for a memory board. (10 Mhz AT clone, modem, 86M hard drive, 640k). i'd almost consider using DOS, if a program existed for it. naah. too ugly. i'd prefer unix, of course -- are there inexpensive (or PD) versions of it available??? you get the picture: inexpensive. attention K Mart news readers... thanks in advance!
