[news.admin] DANGER! misc.test & sci.space.shuttle

usenet@mcdchg.UUCP (Usenet Admin) (10/11/88)

Apparently, two articles originating on site "microsoft" are causing
some measure of havok with my news system and at least one of my
down-stream sites. One of them was in sci.space.shuttle with a
title something like "Go for throttle up!". What irony. It throttled
up my news system to the tune of some 2500 copies. A more dangerous
one was in misc.test. This one had something like 4000 copies. Between
the two, my inodes got wiped out, so who knows how much news is missing.
More important, though, is that anyone who runs one of those "test group
reflectors" should TURN IT OFF QUICK. I managed to save some of my
downstream sites from most of the crud. I will be nuking misc.test
for a while, and keeping an eye on sci.space.shuttle. Good luck, all!

Grrrrrrrrr.
