I didn't say "root" or "usenet" , I said news adminstrator.. Having the software check for a uid would be sufficient. It's in the source,luke. Len

It's in the source,luke. Let's only propose changes we can implement. Do you really think you're going to get thousands of news administrators to patch their code to make this change? Lotsa luck; we still have people running 2.9 news out there. On the other hand, all that it takes to make news.admin moderated is to send out a control message. This is doable, though it's debatable whether we can do it.
