Hi folks, I have been trying to stay out of this... but an intersting point has suggested itself to me... Like it or not, we are a community. Occasionally, a member of our community does something that is beyond the pale of accepted behaviour. This fiasco with r.h.f is just one of many. It seems that about every few months, somebody is abusing the net. (using it for business, crossposting to a LARGE number of groups, &c) As a community, there are some actions that can ba taken, from sending out 'bandy-grams' (does anyone remember those?) to excommunication. Sometimes, these actions actually happen. Sooner or later, I think that the usenet community should discuss this, and come up with some kind of objective policy on the subject. I propose that it be sooner rather than latter. Comments? +C -- Cory (...your bravest dreams, your worst nightmare...) Kempf UUCP: encore.com!gloom!cory "...it's a mistake in the making." -KT
