We just got a new group message creating news.stargate. I thought that group withered and blew away last Spring. Further, the site that issued the new group (egd1?) doesn't resemble any of the old stargate team. Can anyone elaborate on this? It's tempting, of course, to rmgroup it (since there's no one left to spank us for it), but as an original stargate subscriber I'm curious. Is stargate doing a phoenix number or is edg1!news just messing around. -- Bill Kennedy usenet {killer,att,cs.utexas.edu,sun!daver}!ssbn!bill internet bill@ssbn.WLK.COM

It looks like Spaf has already sent out ctrl msgs to re-remove
misc.psi and news.stargate, and to re-unmoderate comp.os.os9.

I received a rmgroup about two weeks ago for 'news.stargate' and I am still getting articles in 'junk' for this. What's up??? -- Robert M. news.stargate is officially dead at the request of the Stargate people. People posting to news.stargate apparently don't know that -- or have lazy news administrators. Bill Wisner wisner@zurich.ai.mit.edu mit-eddie!wisner
