We here at bnlux0 have recently started to feed news to another site(adelphi) via uucp. We are being inundated with mail messages from uucp. > >From uucp@adelphi.uucp Mon Dec 19 01:25:50 1988 >Received: by bnlux0.bnl.gov; Mon, 19 Dec 88 01:25:47 EST >Received: by adelphi.UUCP (smail2.5) > id AA16029; 18 Dec 88 06:05:10 EST (Sun) >Message-Id: <8812180605.AA16029@adelphi.UUCP> >Date: 18 Dec 88 06:05:10 EST (Sun) >From: uucp@adelphi.uucp (UUCP Owner) >To: root@bnlux0.bnl.gov >Status: R > >uuxqt cmd (rnews ) status (exit 0, signal 0) > We also send news articles back to our news source via UUCP and do NOT receive return mail as above. We are running Ultrix2.0, and Adelphi is running AT&T V5. They have the -z option turned on for DFTMXIT in their defs.h, while our UUCP does not understand the -z option. Our sys file looks like: bnlux0:.....newsgroups,...usa,world:: sbcs:...newsgrps...na,ny,usa,world:F:/usr/spool/batch/sbcs adelph:...newsgrps...,usa,world:F:/usr/spool/batch/adelph sbcs feed us via NNTP. Our outgoing articles go to them via UUCP. adelph get and transmits news from/to us via UUCP and deluges us with those unwanted messages. Any ideas as to how to stop the deluge? -- INTERNET: abrams@bnlux0.bnl.gov BITNET: abrams@bnlux0.BITNET UUCP: ...philabs!sbcs!bnlux0!abrams
