PLEASE SEND ME DETAILS ABOUT ALL CORRUPTED CHARACTERS IN UUENCODed FILES.
I WILL RE-ISSUE MY UUENCODE/UUDECODE ASAP WITH THE NECESSARY FIXES

Note, UUENCODING only uses the characters from hex 21 thru and including
hex 60. This does NOT include the space (on recent encoders). It also
does NOT include the hex 7C vertical bar ('|') and the hex 7E squiggle
('~'). This DOES include the caret ('^'), but I have no idea how to fix
this, as a recent posting said it maps into another valid character.
If my encoder (or some other with a check on each line) were used, I
could try various mappings for problem characters until I got a good
line. But too few encoders put checks on each line.
