There have been ongoing discussions, speculations, and "I'm not a lawyer but..." remarks running around this and other groups. I'm not entirely sure how much copyright law a news administrator needs to know, but I do know how you can get appropriate advice and representation. I am personally involved in an about-to-conclude matter which will be in my favor because I sought and found good representation. The infringer used a general practitioner and got shredded. I'm not advertising that, just establishing my presence on the firing line which should give me a little credibility. There is a group of lawyers, I got mine (world class!) from it, they specialize in the law surrounding computers. It's Computer Law Association 8303 Arlington Boulevard, Suite 210 Fairfax, Virginia 22031 (703) 560-7747 As I have said before, I don't think a news administrator needs this caliber of assistance, but the amateurs keep preaching and speculating. I suggest the above if you're in real need. 'Nuff said. Oh, I forgot to mention, $150/hr is going rate for a "real" one, very reasonable if you need one. -- Bill Kennedy usenet {killer,att,cs.utexas.edu,sun!daver}!ssbn!bill internet bill@ssbn.WLK.COM or attmail!ssbn!bill
