Comp.ai.digest, the moderated group which is connected to the Internet AILIST, has shown no traffic for weeks. Messages to AILIST @AI.AI.MIT.EDU and AILIST-REQUEST@AI.AI.MIT.EDU go unanswered. So do postings to comp.ai.digest. Even messages to POSTMASTER@AI.AI.MIT.EDU do not produce an answer. AILIST has traditionally been a valuable forum in the AI community, and many of the major figures in the field have submitted messages. (McCarthy and Minsky frequently posted there.) But now it seems to have disappeared without a trace. Does anyone know why? [This query was previously posted in news.groups, but seems to have been ignored due to heavy traffic concerning some "rec" group]. John Nagle
