Isn't that what news.sysadmin is for? Seriously, though, I think it's a good idea *regardlss* of the newsgroups flap. Somewhere us admins could sit together and conspire againast the users. Speaking of mailing lists, is there one for moderators? -- Peter da Silva, Xenix Support, Ferranti International Controls Corporation. 'moderators@xxxx.purdue.edu' I forget the machine name at purdue, thus the xxxx above. Ask Gene Spafford what it is; I think he updates the exploder list which is invoked by the call to moderators. If you are listed as a moderator in those records then you supposedly are on the list which gets mail via the above. -- Patrick Townson patrick@chinet.chi.il.us / ptownson@bu-cs.bu.edu / US Mail: 60690-1570 FIDO: 115/743 / AT&T Mail: 529-6378 (!ptownson) / MCI Mail: 222-4956

You should be able to send mail to all newsgroup moderators by mailing to "moderators@cs.purdue.edu" This does not include moderators of groups gatewayed from Arpa or Bitnet mailing lists. Many moderators asked to be dropped from the list back when it got a lot of mail. Thus, don't expect to reach all the moderators by simply mailing to the list. -- Gene Spafford NSF/Purdue/U of Florida Software Engineering Research Center, Dept. of Computer Sciences, Purdue University, W.
