If I recall, the whole brouhaha (imbroglio?) over the rules
came because some folks wanted to crucify Brad over his
GEnie plans. Since it's been pretty much established that
most netters do not find making money immoral, and Brad Wars
are over (until Brad finds another way to ignite one), let's
drop the whole matter and go on with the rules we have.
Yes, we will still have folks quibbling about 30.03-day
voting periods, and 13.98-day discussions, and whether a group
should be called talk.wardcleaver or talk.cleaver.ward
(or, for comics fans, talk.cleaver.youthfulward). But
I suspect, amigos, that we'll have that under any system,
including weighted voting, Brad's aristocracy, or drawing
straws. So let's get back to business and hold off on
bureaucratizing and stratifying the net.
