We are a leaf node, receiving a full news feed, but we have relatively few users reading news. This means that a lot of space is "wasted" in keeping articles that will never be read. I would like to find a modified expire program that (for example) reads the user .newsrc files and from them determines what is subscribed to and what isn't, then proceeds to expire the unsubscribed stuff immediately and the rest in the normal fashion of expire. Pointers to anything with this kind of functionality would be appreciated. We're running nntp, B news 2.11.14 (soon to be 2.11.17) and rn.
