[news.admin] Forged cancel message from pst@anise

bob@allosaur.cis.ohio-state.edu (Bob Sutterfield) (08/09/89)

I, also, thought I was posting to news.admin, to which I subscribe out
of necessity. It seems that the author of the article to which I was
responding had directed the original to both news.admin and
alt.sources.

pst@anise.acc.com (Paul S Traina, according to the map database)
arrogated the authority to cancel my article. Though that may be
acceptable in alt, it is not considered good manners on the Usenet.
Unless you can invent a control message that can break links between
cross-posted articles and leave one while removing the other, please
refrain from such behavior in the future.

pst@anise.acc.com (Paul Traina) (08/09/89)

Yes, it was in bad taste for me to cancel your message in alt.sources.
Sorry about that, I think most of us would rather see "A solution to the
monopoly in Germany" in alt.sources than vigilante cancel messages.

Yet another case where the cure is worse than the disease.

Sometimes I just can't win... :-(

	regards,
		pst
