I think the problem has been found. tropix had occasionally lost news for disk space reasons or some such, and asked its neighbor, moscom, to forward the missing articles. This has happened on three occasions, the dates of which coincide with the batches of reposted articles. I have talked with the system administrators of these sites, and they say it won't happen again. If anyone sees this happening again, be sure to let these guys (and the rest of us) know, because that would mean that we haven't really found the problem.
