Looks to me like someone's got mailing list problems... note the
Newsgroups: line in the first article

|Path: iclswe!sunic!mcsun!tuvie!atbull!ee
|From: ee@atbull.UUCP (Erwin Eder)
|Newsgroups: comp.unix.i386,comp.protocols.ibm,comp.unix.questions
|Message-ID: <543@atbull.UUCP>
|Date: 10 Nov 89 14:51:28 GMT

shows cross-posting, but the second article has simply comp.protocols.ibm.

|Path: iclswe!sunic!mcsun!uunet!cs.utexas.edu!tut.cis.ohio-state.edu!ucbvax!
|atbull.UUCP!ee
|From: ee@atbull.UUCP (Erwin Eder)
|Newsgroups: comp.protocols.ibm
|Message-ID: <8911110604.AA23351@lilac.berkeley.edu>
|Date: 10 Nov 89 14:51:28 GMT
|Sender: daemon@ucbvax.BERKELEY.EDU
|Organization: The Internet

The Organization: line also points to the inet mailing list gateways.
So who's broken? The ibm-protocols mailing list? Or the gateway at
ucbvax?
